You are not alone in the fight. Others are facing the same battle. Practice sharing your story in such a way as to give glory to God! This will in turn give strength to someone else who may be on the verge of surrender.
One true event from the life of a World Impact staff member involved their 2 yr-old child drowning in a backyard pool. When discovered, the parents cried out to God and shouted “You live ! in Jesus name !”. That first night, doctors gave a 5% chance for recovery. Over the next few days God miraculously restored the baby to life. Lung damage, heart damage, brain damage – all reversed.
This story of God’s mercy and healing power was shared with family, friends, and church members. A couple months later, another husband and wife, three states away, were involved in a car accident when an ambulance ran a red light and hit the passenger door of their car at full speed. The husband woke up first and turned his head to look at his wife. He later said, “I looked over and watched my wife die. But then I remembered this testimony and cried out, ‘God – You gave [my friend’s] baby back. You can give me my wife back!’ and so I spoke life to her. Then at the hospital I remembered how the baby recovered completely so I kept praying. God gave me my wife back!” Within days, the wife was back at home with her husband. She continues to recover.
One family’s testimony gave strength to another family and two miracles were the result.
Not every testimony may seem so grandiose, but the point is that there are others out there who are facing, or will soon face, a similar trial. Share your testimony. Someone else needs to hear it.
